Our Oceanside School of Tennis offers professional services including private lessons and small group lessons for
adults and children. Enjoy fitness and drill tennis workouts and matches against the pro. Couples, semi-private,
and group lessons are also available as well as ball machine rental. Please contact the concierge desk for booking
times and use of rental rackets.

My name is Dimitar Yazadzhiev. I am the Owner and Tennis Director of Oceanside Tennis School & Academy (OTSA) in
Santa Barbara, California.
I am USPTR Professional and I have been coaching at the top professional level and working with some of the top ranked
national and international junior players for almost 20 years now.
Before founding of the Oceanside Tennis School & Academy, I was the Head Coach of the Weil Tennis Academy in Ojai, CA
for 10 years, Coach at the Maleeva Tennis Academy, and Tournament Director for the Bulgarian Tennis Federation
and a Management Director for the Academic Tennis Club (Sofia, Bulgaria). I have been ranked among the Top Four Juniors in Bulgaria and has been a professional
USPTR since 1993.
I graduated from the prestigious Bulgarian National Sports Academy with a master's degree in Physical Education and Sports Management.
I have been coaching and working with some of the top ranked national and international junior players, among them: Sesil Karatancheva (Top 40 WTA and French
Open Quarter Finalist), Ksenia Milevskaya (Top 200 WTA, 2007 #2 ITF), Nolan Bauer (#1 Southwest Section B14s, Top 40 US B14s), and Grigor Dimitrov (#1 ITF
B18s, 2006 Orange Bowl Boys 16s Singles champion, 2008 Jr. Wimbledon champion, and 2008 Jr. US Open Singles champion).

Sara Scott
Tennis Head Coach - Juniors Development
Tennis Pro
Sara Scott grew up in El Paso, Texas. She came to California on a tennis scholarship to UCLA from 1999 to 2003. Played
number 1 and was the team captain 3 of her 4 years there.
Sara is Pac-10 Singles Champion - 2000; Pac-10 Doubles Champion - 2001 and Pac-10 Freshman of the year. In addition,
she was All American Singles for 4 years and received 2003 National Sportsmanship Award. Sara graduated from UCLA
with a degree in Sociology.
After college, she played on the tour from 2003 to 2005. After this, she became an Interim Assistant Coach at UCLA under
Stella Sampras. Then she was a Head Coach at Crossroads Middle School in Santa Monica before moving to Thousand Oaks
to work for Top Seed Tennis Academy. In 2008, having her first baby, Sara moved to Carpinteria.
Geoff Pryce

USPTA P-1 Professional with 35 years of tennis teaching experience
Geoff brings to Oceanside School of Tennis some 30 years of teaching and coaching experience. First certified by the USPTA
in 1977, he went on to be Head Trainer for the W.C.T. International Tennis Academies in Cala D’Or Mallorca and Playa
Jandía, Fuerteventura, Canary Islands (Spain). He later became Tennis Director of the America Embassy Club in Bonn,
Germany, where he trained future German ATP and Davis Cup player Marc-Kevin Peter Goellner. Geoff was awarded by the
Sportgemeinschaft Deutscher Bundestag honorary player status on their Parliamentary Team. As a member of this team, he
was a finalist in the Apollinaris Cup in Bad Neuenahr. Presently, Geoff is also the assistant man’s tennis coach for Westmont
College.

4:30 – 6:00 p.m. Mon, Wed & Fri. $40.00/session
Learn the traditional and modern game of Tennis in a safe, clean, and supervised environment at the Fess Parker’s Doubletree Resort Tennis Center. Fundamentals,
Fitness training and Fun are stressed in each class.
Ball machines and the latest teaching aids will be utilized. Stay and play practice matches after class. We can accommodate your summer schedule. A low
student/teacher ratio means accelerated learning.

Private - 1 hour $90, 1⁄2 hour $50

Group (3 or more players) - 1 hour $35 / person
Ball Machine Rental - 1 hour $40
Racquet Rental – DEMO - $10 / day, regular - $5 / day
Basket of Balls Rental - $20 / day
Court fees are complimentary for guests at the Resort and are available on a reservation basis. If players are waiting, please limit play to 1 hour for singles and 1 1⁄2
hours for doubles.
Cancellation Policy: If a lesson or clinic is cancelled within 4 hours of start time, there will be a 50% charges.
Special Requests
The tennis staff can accommodate any special requests, from corporate round robin tournaments, advance court bookings to custom racquet stringing. Racquets are
available for rental for $5 - $10 a day.

Cardio Tennis Clinic every Saturday from 8:30 – 10:00 & every Sunday from 10:30 – 12:00 a.m.

refreshing activity for your guests or next team building event with our experienced Tennis Professional.
Clinic and Competition
The Tennis staff can handle large groups for Tennis clinics and Round Robins. We use the first 30 - 45 minutes of a scheduled event for the instructional clinic for the
participants before starting the Round Robin.
Clinic format includes ground strokes (forehand and backhand), volleys and serve before the Round Robin. The Round Robin format uses quick rotations of 4 games per
round. Players report their scores and immediately are paired with another player to play against two new players. This mixing works well with players of all levels and
the team building angle comes into the picture because players now have to help each other against a possibly stronger team. Players are mixed randomly and meet
new friends, mix with other employees and compete against each other in a friendly social tennis doubles match.
The Tennis professionals keep the event moving and entertained. Light hors d’oeuvres, snacks and refreshments will keep the participants’ energy levels up. Digital
photos are recorded and distributed for the group memories.
A good time is guaranteed! Everybody gets some exercise, learns better Tennis techniques, and understands a little bit more about themselves and their co-workers.
Fees are $30 per person per hour. Rental racquets are available and we have a professional Pro Shop for your Tennis needs.
Family Programs
Offer three types of recreational tennis programs for the guests of Fess Parker’s Doubletree Resort:
- Adult Clinics (Men’s, Lady’s, Drop In and Round Robins)
- For families or group of four
Each practice will be adjusted based on the participant’s tennis experience, skill level, and fitness abilities.

Oceanside Pro Shop is located right here at the Resort. We carry a complete line of strings and accessories, new and rental racquets, tennis shoes and socks. We offer
